Our Qualifications
Michael J. Van Hoof, Financial Advisor
As the president, and owner of Van Hoof Investments, Inc., I have spent the past twenty-seven years in the insurance industry, beginning in 1992 as a field sales associate with Liberty Mutual Group.
It was with Liberty Mutual that I was recognized as a sales leader in the area of financial services. This early success served to enhance my desire to learn more about financial planning, retirement income planning, and investment management. It was during my service to Liberty Mutual that I enrolled in the CFP® Professional Education Program through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. The Certified Financial Planner™ educational program consists of (7) prescribed areas of study, including Financial Planning Process, Risk Management, Insurance, Investment Planning, Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, Estate Planning(Part I), and Estate planning(Part II). Having successfully completed the curriculum, I received my CFP® certification in October of 1999.
While completing my CFP® certification studies, I worked for various financial services firms, as a licensed insurance agent, and personal financial advisor. In order to effectively serve the growing needs of my clientele, I started my own business in 1998. I received an undergraduate degree in Business from St. Norbert College in 1989.
